My experience has been that dealers ect want to replace EVERYTHING when they do a brake job, whether it needs replacing or not. That's just becoming policy at a lot of places. So you end up getting new calipers, and probably rotors too, when all you really may need is pads. I think they've started doing this because somewhere along the line, someone came back and did the lawsuit thing because a shop missed something, and caused an accident. At least that's what I heard when my brother was a wrench turner at Goodyear 15 years ago.
