When you say rebuild the transmission - what do you mean? Did you strip the entire transmission and replace all of the seals and worn parts and then reassemble everything following the strict instructions in the FSM making the appropriate measurements all the way?

When you installed the transmission did you make any (hydraulic or vacuum) measurements?

I assume when you say it won't upshift you mean it is stuck in first gear? In which case I'd be looking at the B1 system - either brake band or valve body control...
