I just did an extensive search for the cause of these codes and couldn't find anyone who has experienced this. The car starts and drives as well as it always has - no problems. This morning though, immediately upon startup, the CEL illuminated. Pin 8 yields codes 25 & 33. I know what they mean, I don't know what's causing them. One of the codes is the camshaft position sensor and the other is that the timing is retarded to its limit. I replaced both the smaller and larger camshaft position sensors last year. What's at fault here?
