3rd tranny, still going...
MPG was in the 14-16 range...the S-10 was a 4WD.
Body was starting to cancer-out...back corner or the driver's side cab, around the rear wheel-wells and the bottom edge of the tailgate became tetanus-territory.
Had the FI Module swapped out about 7K before the retirement...

Over the years...
2 deer, lost the radiator the first time, obviously bumper, hood and the front clip, but the engine was relatively unscathed... Then the 2nd deer was...grill, right headlight and fender...took almost 2 months to get the right parts...but not a *tink!* on the engine.

Note on the tranny... When I had the tran rebuilt the 1st time, the guy who did the work mentioned that he bores out the channels for better/more fluid flow to the drive-plate...said it cut down on the drag between the two surfaces...causes a bit of a harder shift, not so "auto-like." Got about another 50K out of the rebuild than the original tranny from the factory. When it went the 2nd time, he rebuilt it and it was still going strong on the trade-in.

Only got $500.00 for the trade-in, though...
3.7 means s10, im no fan.
would not recommend anything about the mini chevy trucks like that.
claustrophobic driving experience-to say the least.
