New Bluetec followed me home, will be sad to say goodbye to the 300TD!

I know, I said I don't need a diesel anymore, went to buy a GLC. 28mpg seemed pretty good.

But tonight I took my wife to the dealer, told her that I wanted to drive a GLE Bluetec, even though it is out of my budget, just to be sure that I am buying the right car.

Don't ya know, they're making some pretty good deals on 2015s, ... and the GLC just doesn't ride like it's bigger brother. And so far I'm averaging 31mpg in the ML Bluetec, ... which is as good as I can get in the old '87, I just hope that the car lasts as long!

So now I need to take some pictures, write the description, the good and the bad, and move on to what I expect to be a little more boring automotive relationship.

I don't think that I'll be wiping tears aside to type, but I'm pretty sure I'll be a little misty when the day comes that BlueBelle pulls out of the garage for the last time.

I won't miss the piles of spare parts, the nights scanning the internet for a shinier part, for an upgrade, for a little hint or tweak, ... or will I?

So it's been a good run here, I've enjoyed all of the posts, the help, the personality of this board and all here, and hope to hang around a little in the future. Maybe in another 10years or so there'll be some of us looking for advice on keeping our Bluetec cars in tip-top shape, I hope so.

Best regards, I'll soon be posting my old friend in the classifieds, ... for all to dissect her imperfections and my unfinished project, it'll be fine I'm sure. I'll need to hang around then, just to see what the next owner decides to do with her!
