Think you're confusing the factory newer pencil setup with a conversion from loop GPs. There's 3 or 4 equal length "jumper" wires required, if the stock one to the fuse block is still ok.

Unfortunately I can't help OP as the setup I had on my car I transferred to another (never took pics of course), which recently led to a problem getting the engine usable again, I actually ended up using the remains of a 1984 factory GP wiring harness on my 1980 engine that originally had loop GPs...
