The W163 and W164 don't have SBC.
I'm super happy with my 07 ML320 CDI - awesome fuel mileage, plenty of power, and very comfortable. Gets around 20-22mpg putting around in the city but gets 26-30mpg on the freeway depending on traffic and how fast I'm going. Not too shabby for an SUV with AWD!
