Any idea what the newest ML is that I can buy that does not have so much of the computer stuff?

Oops; I thought you had a 2006 ML.
2006 E320 CDI. No ML has SBC.

If you don't like computers you should just stay with 1st gen 126s. That being said, only CDIs have the SBC in terms of Benz diesels in the US. 03-06 W211s have it, 07-09 does not, so BlueTec E320s do not have SBC.

SBC is a super advanced system that does a lot of cool things, however I think Bosch hadn't totally realized they can effect most of the functions SBC has through a more standard style ABS pump setup with a mechanical master cylinder.

All of this computer stuff is manageable, there is info out there, and the tools are available.

Doesn't bother me, I just want to know the proper way to use the tools I have access too.

Thanks for the input Justin, I'll probably disable it in SDS, then unplug the unit as well. My scanner can clear whatever related SBC codes I may create by messing with it.
