I recall reading a safety bulletin somewhere not specifically related to mercedes. The just of it was should you disable the brakes using software a battery charger should be placed on the battery during the brake work. If the battery is low in voltage or should brown out unpredictable devices can be actuated. Just a caution I have not had the opportunity to work on SBC systems.
