O.k. tried to find out where the leak is comming from what next
hello,
I tried to find out where the leak is coming from. Remember I posted a pic last time.
Well I remove the tire and the plastic wheel well cover. While running the engine I look for leaks. I can not see any of the hose leaking around the filter and I place a camera in the pump area not obvious leaks seen but I smell gas.
So I keep the running while checking for leaks. Again none obvious leaks around the filter or pump area. But after 20 minutes I notice gas dripping from the red circle area 1 and area 2. Dripping down the side from the top of the tank.
This is a big leak I would think if it was leaking from the pump or filter area I would notice either by touch or visual from the camera.
where else could I be looking. From the diagram there is a grove in the middle top of the tank. I think that grove is channeling the gas. Does the gas line run through that grove?? The diagram shows a tube in the grove what is that for???
Can a bad filter causing a leak from some vent? And replacing the filter will solve my problem???
