They are a work of art although I understand why MB decided to move to a cast aluminum trailer arm on the later 126 because that thin metal can't take the working of the spring over the life of the rest of the components on the car. If I had been doing the replacement job myself and seen the hole worn thru the old arm, I would have installed a heavy piece of rubber in the new arm prior to putting the spring back in.
