I had it on a hard right turn on a Volkswagon diesel. In my case it turned out to be a crack in the water separator near the fuel tank. Odd I know and it did take me some time to locate this. Reasonable radius turn all was fine. More aggressive and the engine quit.


Anyways I would attach a fuel pressure gauge to the system as there is provision for that provided. Making it visable from the drivers seat. And watch for fuel pressure dropping off when you turn sharply. No ideal if this is really your issue. But at least you would know you have to look in a specific area then. Or it does not apply.


I almost never post or follow this section of the site. I just saw the issue and remembered it was a little painful to find originally . Mostly because there was little logic in how that crack in my case could do this.
