You have sorta left us having to less specific than we might be...

Do you have a 240 engine which smokes.... and is the subject of your questions ?

If so,,, tell us... and share any specifics you or your mechanic know about your engine...

For instance... if we are talking your engine.... Have you put new valve seals into it since it started smoking to see if that is the problem ? They are cheap and easy compared to most every other potential fix.. but they do fix a good number of 'smoking ' problems....

So loosen up with us and we can help you better...
