FWIW, it took me 4 days of nonstop driving (except time to sleep; basically driving until I got tired enough to not want to risk falling asleep on the road and finding the next motel, sleeping, and getting up and hitting the road) to get my 300D from the DFW area to here (with a detour to Austin and San Antonio so that TXBill and leathermang could run a compression check on her). I'm happy that I had done it, even though it meant that both me and Robin had to skip two days of class. It was definitely an adventure.

While I would do it again if I had the spare time, I don't blame someone for wanting to ship a car, at this point.
My biggest regret is that I didn't have more time and $$ to take the trip in less of a hurry...there were some things that I would have loved to stop and see (Davis/Montham AFB in Tuscon comes to mind) that I may not have the opportunity to see again anytime soon. C'est la vie; at least my car's here and running happily
