If you have the earlier vacuum pump w/ 2 tubes, it might be possible since the outlet (would become your inlet) ejects into one of the tubes instead of the crankcase, at least that is how I think it works. Rebuild kits are also much cheaper. I don't know that the 2 internal check valves can be turned around since they have a dome that I recall fits in one side only. I doubt the outlet check valve could be reversed, but you might remove the guts and plumb another check valve in the metal tubing. I doubt you would get more than 20 psig pressure, so if the purpose is to inflate tires it might not suffice. An AC compressor can make >300 psig.
