I loosened the nut and pried the wiper arm off the shaft. I don’t know what it looked like when it was new, but it appeared that whatever splines it might have had were just about gone. Putting the arm back on and tightening the nut snugly did the trick, though. Won’t be switching the wipers on anymore unless I’m sure they’re not stuck to the glass and the snow is cleared off completely.
