I have managed to acess the archives and have done a search on the tranny problem.

I MAY have lucked out. Maybe. The independent dealer that sold the 190DT to me was so sure that "nothing major is wrong with the tranny" that he wrote that the tranny would be fixed into the sales contract. His shop then informed him it needed new clutchpack and bit of other work...so the work is being done at the dealers expense. We will see!

Mean while I found rebuilt trannys for $1,395+shipping at one of the suggested websites...just in case.
