Cairo, I don't know the answer exactly but between the two front glow plugs in the cylinder head is where I'd expect it to go.

I've had success numerous times figuring out these types of problems in repairing old unique vehicles by using internet image searches. Try an image search on Mercedes 200D and study the engine bay.
