There's a simple & cheap tool for taking the door cards off ~ it looks like a flat screwdriver but the end is forked .

you can also use those Nylon trim tools, these prevent the cardboard door card from tering .

The factory clips are the best but the aftermarket ones work fine too .

Be sure to add the gone missing plastic sheet vapor barrier whilst the door card is off .

The M-B Classic Center sells the proper pre cut vapor barriers for the W123 but it's a simple thing to use any thin sheet plastic like bags....
