Selling engines and transmissions can be tricky for these rare cars. I ended up with a 6.9 engine when my transmission and car piece fell apart so I was stuck selling an engine. On one end of the spectrum is the rarity and consequential high price versus high risk of issues with resulting low pricing. I lost a few hundred bucks getting rid of an engine and I would assume the same analysis with a transmission
