Unfortunately the A/C on the 124 chasiss is usually no nickel and dime thing. If the A/C compressor is bad then count on a $1,000+ repair bill unless you do it yourself. A new CCU is about $200 (rebuilt) and the evaporator is as described above. Be sure to factor that into your price.
