Might get musty and rusty if stored in a shipping container in the East, but in So California it stays dry inside and, more importantly, shielded from the evil sun.
I wonder if there is a market for car storage like that in the Mojave Desert where dry and land is cheap. Would be for people who have a classic car but no place to store it during life's adventures - overseas post, home relocation, job in LA where a 2 BR house no garage costs $1M. A friend said you can buy used containers for $200 and was considering building a mountain house using them. Maybe a guy in Hesperia could orchestrate it, if nobody is doing it yet.
