It is the original, and that is the pump your car needs. But, they are longer made. Bosch/MB did come up with a replacement using another Bosch pump. It will work, but the internal relief valve pressure is on the high side given the hose clamped fuel rail system on the Djets. There is a better option. A Nissan 280z pump. It is identical to the original djet pump and a direct replacement. They are available from nissan dealers online. I dont have the number in my memory banks, but could find it if you are interested.
I bought one of these pumps as a spare, but the original in my 72 still works fine.
