I have read here more than once that it will indeed work. The one thing that may not work from the donor car would be the driveshaft. Most likely it would be the wrong length. It's very possible that your original driveshaft may be the right length though.

Also, if the original is the wrong length, you should be able to determine the length and have a driveshaft shop shorten one of them.
