Correct bad design / You need Not to use " thick Paint " because it will plug up the weep Hole
You can improve the "Design" By simply enlarging the Weep Hole just drill from the Bottom.
A Good design would have been that area could have been Galvanized
A better way yet is like the 928 Porsche the body is Aluminum however the Transmission is Mercedes but once your driving all confusion dissipates and right away you begin to realize a Porsche is more then just a name . of course most can't afford a 928 . Don't drive one unless your willing for a let down once you stop.

On the Other Hand most rusted out Door Bottom edge area's are 40 50 years old and that's not bad really
