On the top of the steering box, left of centre, and a bit forward of centre, is a plug. It is both the fill plug, and the point at which a centreing pin is screwed in. The pin has a turned down section and a tapered tip. The pin can enter a hole in the pitman nut inside the steering box to ensure it is at the centre point.
