I haven't done this first hand, but I'm planning on the exact same thing in the future.

My understanding is that they don't need to be changed, The ECU, EIS and key lock from the white car don't know the specific of the engine they are controlling. As long as there's a OM606 at the other end of the control cables all should be good - by my understand there's nothing in the EDC pump that is married via scan coding to the specific ECU.
