If this is the Vector that I'm thinking of, yep! Door-to-door knife sales. I think it's genuine, but the pay is based on how many appointments you make, which means that you have to be a driven salesman to get anywhere. I looked at them once a couple of years ago, and decided that I wouldn't have the drive to do it (I'm a lousy salesman unless it's something I really believe in). Judging by the other people at the mass interview that I went to, they mostly target teenagers...I'll bet that they have a high turnover rate.
In addition, you need to pay like $500 up front for a set of "display" knives...this was the deciding factor that turned me off; it seemed fishy.
Just my $.02...I would stay away.
