What to do - Old or New

Ok, I'm planning a Road Trip from New Jersey (no joke please, but yes exit 7) to Montana.

Should I drive a 1986 Mercedes 560SL with 190,000 miles or a 2017 SLC-300 with 38,000 miles?

I've had the 560SL for 20+ years, and I'm thinking with some preparation (new starter, new engine mounts and new fuel pump) it should be good to go.

But no air conditioning in the 560SL.

Trip planned for June 2024.

Your thoughts?

The SLC will have air conditioning and is CPO.

Granted, there is a cost difference. Hee Hee

But, driving a classic is a story to tell.
