Had the colonoscopy last year. I "try" to eat good but it's the holidays, BD, wife's BD so on and so on. I plan on doing as much work as I can. I know there are good contractors out there but they will not respond to small jobs-at least here or they charge $90 per hr. I would never hire a handyman to do work. I can do almost everything that needs to be done but am hiring workers for moving stuff, digging, clean up etc to speed things up. Spent 5 days straight climbing ladders all day and still feel Ok but legs are tired. Was removing a bunch of funky 50 year old 8' heavy fluorescent fixtures from the 16' shop ceiling today. Have to move the ladder 2 or 3 times for each one rolling around an old water heater to brace the ladder feet.
There is much work to be done in a tight, cramped crawl space. The house needs to be replumbed from the water meter to the crusty faucets. There is no shut off so I have to call the city every time I shut off the water but I will install a shut off when I replace the water main. DVW mostly needs to be replaced. They did replace the sewer line to the street-I can see new grass where the trench was. Bright note: The sewer line to the toilet in the garage is still connected so it will work again. And everything is overgrown in ivy and blackberries. This property is several buildings on an acre and everything needs work. But it will be worth it.
