Red face High Beam Front Driving Light Bulb LED replacement

Hello Gang! One of you will surely have an answer to this:

On my 2005 E320, with Bi-Xenon headlights:
615 BI-XENON HEADLICHT W.ACTVIE CURVELIGHT RIGHT-DRIVE

With bulbs out on both sides, I've recently replaced both Xenon low beams and the halogen (H7) high beam bulbs. All four working. But, along the way:

Both of the tiny bulbs within the high beam 'canisters' are dead. Pelican forum notes call this: the front driving light bulb (this bulb illuminates the high beam capsule) - having removed it, this is a 4.9 W tiny bulb; looks like a '168'.

Can this bulb be replaced with generic LEDs, without throwing any CANbus error? I'm encouraged that there is no error seen with both of the original bulbs dead.

OK - Answering my own question here: No, the LEDs are a no-go. They flash intermittently - presumably resistance is too low. Replaced with Standard 5W incandescents.
