Actually an "El cheapo" 99 cent fuel filter put inline with the washer fluid hose, is a good idea. Ever since I stared to re-fill washer fluid years ago, I have wondered what to do about the "floaties" in the resevoir - installing such a filter would surely prevent those uninvited guest from entering my nozzles.
Unfortunately, this idea wasn't mine...matter of fact it was after a good 20 some years that a German master mechanic gave me the hint. And why not? We filter every other darn fluid in our cars...might as well do the washer fluid too.
