There was no "didn't". Once you rotate (Vr) and are "flying", you fly. There is no indication that anything was failing that would make the plane unflyable. Decison to abort is made at V1 which is at flight speed but all wheels on the ground. The UPS pane was already at Vr (nose off the ground and the plane was flying) and abortion at that point would likely have ended very poorly. Once the engine detached, there was nothing anyone could do and there is nothing the pilots could have done differently to change the outcome, at leat there is no info that had been released that would put.this on the cockpit crew.
