A bad overvoltage protection relay will cause the ABS light to come on at random intervals because the voltage to the controller is going on and off.

If it comes on when you start, this is normal, but it should go off quickly. If it comes on and stays on for a while, then goes off, this indicates a fault in the ABS system. Don't know how to troublehoot this one yet, neither of mine has failed.

Check your OVP relay -- if it is the old one with one fuse, replace it if you want, it's about $95 I think -- this will cure the trouble if it is the OVP.
