Unhappy Help...radiator overflow hose fitting broke off!!!

While doing my first coolent flush (see SHOUT) I leaned on the radiator overflow hose and the nipple snapped off at radiator! I screwed in a machine screw to plug it temporarily and also plugged the hose with a pencil and clamp as a temp fix. It seems to be holding pressure OK, but what are possible complications?

How should I repair... can't afford a new radiator just now. Is there some small plumbing fitting I can screw in to provide a fitting for the overflow hose?

Any help much appreciated!
