I kind of agree with this, too. I get irritated when I see a beat up minivan or an old beater thats kept together using "power or pride" stickers or large 8 x 11 US flags plastered on every door. I think thats going over-board.

As for the former Marine flying his flag, is there any Constitutional saying that will defend his right to do so? I personally don't see anything wrong with flying a flag in your front yard. One of my neighbors has a large Irish flag thats often out... I haven't heard anyone complain, and it doesn't bother me. I think there is a "flag rule", where you have to take down the flag at night.... if you thats followed, then you shouldn't be bothered by the noises at night.
