After spending $125 to replace a leaking hydraulic cylinder for my cabriolet (my car has 6), I lost any desire to look for substitute hydraulic oils. Get it from the dealer.

I took a sample of the original fluid to my colleague who can reverse engineer fluids. His comment was that it's a "high quality hydraulic fluid".
