Winterizing Biodiesel (Petro Too!)

Have taken to experimenting with winterizing additives for diesel in hopes of running BD all year long.

Test batches are as follows:

40ml BD, sterile sample jar.

Temp: -5 deg F.

First try, no additive:

Solid (wax) @10 deg.

2 - 400:1 dilution (1cc) Power Service Diesel Fuel Supplement (hereafter: DFS) = Solid (wax) @10 deg

3 - 2cc DFS = Solid (wax) @10 deg

4 - 3cc DFS = Solid (wax) @10 deg

5 - 4cc DFS = Solid (wax) @10 deg

Changed test parameters, try Power Service Diesel Kleen (hereafter: DK).

1 - 2cc DK = Solid @10 deg

2 - 3cc DK = Solid @10 deg

3 - 4cc DK = Semi-Solid (gelled liquid) @10 deg
