There is a circular hole at the bottom (near the front of the tank) that it fits into. Also a screw-on bracket that anchors it at the back of the tank.

Had to repair the bracket, and now its all fine.



The repaired bracket is on the left side of the picture; the "hole" (not visible) is somewhere on the right side, just behind the headlamp unit.
