For those who think that Yugo's are no longer made. Wrong. They are still being built in the same Serbian plant that was bombed by the US. The plant has been rebuilt, and cars are still being sold in Europe. Bricklin is also in the process of bringing the Yugo BACK to the US under a new name - ZMW. Current release date has been pushed back to 2005. They were originally supposed to be on the market by the end of this year. Bricklin claims that they are supposed to have gotten the quality control issues taken care of that plauged the cars when they were sold back in the 80's.

I've never owned one either, but would consider it for the fun of buying a car dirt cheap for no other purpose beyond seeing how quickly I could kill it.
