Power Antenna Question?

Car is an 1988 190e 2.3L. To make a long story short, the power antenna was not working. During the time it was not working I had a new stereo installed. Now I had the motor on the antenna fixed last week and I am now installing it. Though, when I turn on the radio it does not work. Ther radio is a Pioneer, Face Detachable CD player/radio.

Now my question is if the power for the antenna routed through the radio? Therefore if radio not correctly installed - no power to antenna? Furthermore, the switch that controls the antenna does not work? Is this on a seperate power thread from the radio or is it if radio is not giving power to the antenna, this switch will not work anyway?

I have checked the fuse to the antenna it is good. Is there a relay hooked to the antenna? If so where located?

Thanks,

Iggy
