A couple fo things. First, you should check to see if you still have the antenna motor. It is located behind the plastic in the trunk on the driver's side of the car. From there, you need to check if the motor is still functioning. If it is still functioning, you can get just the antenna mast from Fastlane, which is a lot cheaper than the entire motor with a new mast.

As for the antenna wire. There are two behind the radio. One is what is actually hooked upto the radio to increase signal reception. The second one, is a black wire (if I recall correctly) that hooks to the radio which is used as a power source/signal to let the motor know that the radio is on therefore, raise the antenna. If this is not connected, even the height adjustment button on the dash does not operate.

Laslty, if you just have a hole where the antenna was do not forget to also order the rubber parts that go there so that water does not enter the trunk and the antenna motor.
