Those labor rates always amaze me.

Equally amazing is that I pay a lot less than $86 an hour for maintenance and inspections on my airplane.

The A&P/AI mechanic has to sign off on his work for it to be legal which puts responsibility on his shoulders, too, that an auto mechanic does not have.
