Has anyone put in a oil separator on a 90-93 300D?

What will happen if I take it off the turbo? I will run a hose and let it drip.

The line goes from the valve cover to the turbo intake.

I disconnected the EGR and the performance suffered. Back on.

I am getting buildup in the intake.
