92 300D Turbo oil separator install?
Has anyone put in a oil separator on a 90-93 300D?
What will happen if I take it off the turbo? I will run a hose and let it drip. The line goes from the valve cover to the turbo intake. I disconnected the EGR and the performance suffered. Back on. I am getting buildup in the intake. Thank you Nick Mendoza |

I'd bet that build up in your intake is due much more so to the EGR than to the CCV, after all it should have its own oil seperator on it now. Unfortunately on a W124 as new as yours I believe the computer watches to see if the EGR is connected or not, if not it'll make you pay....

Use synthetic oil (Amsoil, Mobil 1, Delvac 1, etc) and clean the intake periodically. It's illegal (and nasty) to run a draft tube.

You just rebuilt the motor. How could the intake get soot build-up in only a month or two?
