I'm going to try the 'Heat and wiggle' method today.

Here is an idea - if I can get it out I might drill out the hole very slightly so the tube is a loose fit and maybe tap in a small 'set screw' in the case to hold it in there.

What-ya think. It will make future R/R jobs a bit easier.
