I have recently experienced some unusual symptoms w/ my e420. I can shift manually just fine. When in 4th-overdrive however, the auto shifting becomes very klunky. Particularly from 2nd to 3rd. At times it's fine, other times very rough. I've babied it for the past few weeks. Yesterday I had to accelerate or get run over by an idiot running a very red yellow light... The transission from 2nd to 3rd was very abrupt.

Aren't these trannys sealed? If so, can the dealership check the specs via their computer program, and re-configure somehow? Am I looking at a bunch of $$??
