thank you for the complete posts on how to change the vacum shutoff
I went to my local junk yard and bought a new vacuum shut of
for less than $5.00
I know I should have at it from Mercedes Benz but They wanted $90.00

and mighty vac handheld pump is incredibly useful I had to find a vacuum leak @ the ignition switch
my 300 SD finally turns off with the key
but now the automatic door locks do not work I must have knocked a vacuum line loose while I was under the dashboard
