Talked to a guy with a Datsun/Nissan diesel while fueling up recently. His p/u got more than 40 mpg. Never ever let him down. You can't lose if everything works. Most '80s Japanese trucks, gas or diesel, were bullet proof. I put 270K on my Mitsu gasser before I sold it -- with no engine trouble.
