My son and I did it through a non-pressured season.
It was fun and we learned a ton and the car is performing awesome now.
I had three cars to draw from however which really helped. I already had a flywheel from a 300D manual and I also had the driveshaft. The only things I had to adjust were the tranny linkage rods (remove 4") and the tranny support beam.
Some say the flywheel from the 240D is fine and others recommend one from a 300D.
Later on we added a better 'ratioed' rear end and now our project is complete.
Given the fact that we were rookies, I highly recommend the project. The forum here is absolutely invaluable. Couldn't have even begun without it.
